Description
J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management offers top-tier investment management and private banking solutions, managing $4 trillion in client assets. Asset Management provides comprehensive strategies across asset classes, while Wealth Management aids team members, families, and foundations in achieving financial goals. The Credit and Deposit CFO Team oversees financial analytics for Wholesale Lending, Mortgage, and Deposit products, ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Product Control team ensures the integrity of financial results, collaborating with business partners and the CFO to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate investor reporting.As a Financial Analysis Associate within the Credit and Deposit (Banking) CFO Team, you will take ownership of monthly financials and management reporting for the Global Private Bank's Deposit business. You will evaluate the financial impact of product economics, provide insights to CFOs, and continuously improve business practices through innovation and automation. You will work closely with the front office to ensure transparency and address control issues to enhance efficiency.
Job responsibilities:
- Take ownership of monthly financials and management reporting of the Global Private Bank's ~250B Deposit business; including oversight of all financial reporting for deposits, monitoring activity throughout the month end close and providing management with regular updates on monthly performance and results
- Understand and evaluate the financial impact from the drivers of the Credit & Banking product economics including changes in the yield curve, Fed balance sheet actions, flows, product mix, pricing impacts, etc.
- Provide analytical insight into the business drivers that contribute to the financial results directly the CFOs of the respective businesses
- Improve the way we do business through review of current practices/processes, identifying deficiencies and/or weaknesses, and delivering solutions to enhance the current control framework of the business, particularly through innovation employing automation technology
- Execute on ad-hoc requests and proactively gather the needed information accurately and efficiently
- Work with front office to provide transparency and key drivers that contribute to their financial results
- Challenge existing control operating model and identification of control issues/risks resulting in increased efficiency and implementation of effective control processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Highly motivated and a fast learner - self-starter with strong initiative
- Pro-actively takes ownership of issues and executes through completion
- Analytical, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Able to work independently as well as in a team across global locations and multiple time zones
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Excel skills required, other technical skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of JPMC financial systems a plus
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. a plus
- Preferred experience in the Financial Services industry or Controller / Accounting field
