Reports To: Vice President, Finance & Administration

Location: Alexandria, VA/Hybrid

Come join the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), an organization dedicated to the non-technical concerns of licensed professional engineers.  NSPE is seeking a Director of Talent & Operations to oversee the full employee lifecycle, from strategic recruitment to professional development and beyond.  NSPE offers a hybrid work environment requiring occasional on-site workdays and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO.  Only applicants residing in the DC Metro area will be considered.

As the Director of Talent & Operations, you will manage all human resources functions, including compensation, benefits, and payroll.  A key focus of this role will be leveraging technology to streamline processes and create an engaging and efficient work environment.  This position will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the NSPE office, ensuring a seamless experience for the entire team.  This is a sole contributor role involving extensive vendor management.  This position reports to the VP of Finance & Administration.

Qualified candidates offer:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources, business, or communications; or equivalent combination of education and related experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization
• Minimum of five years of broad human resource management experience
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, and/or SPHR certification strongly preferred
• Only applicants residing in the DC Metro area will be considered

Salary: $132,000 - $140,000
