Description
Minnich’s Pharmacy, a local employee-owned pharmacy, is seeking a full-time Pharmacist. We are looking for a motivated pharmacist looking primarily for our long-term care pharmacy. This position will be a mix of long-term care pharmacy staffing and clinical consulting through our facilities with a retail store coverage rotation. This position is full-time with a once-a-month weekend requirement and on call.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
Licensure, certifications and clearances
Vaccination certified
CPR certified
Responsibilities:
Staffing hours in both our long-term care pharmacy and retail pharmacy
Clinical duties –
o Assist monthly chart review, medication cart/room audits
o Automated dispensing system audits
o Participate in quality assurance meetings at facilities if required
o Educational presentations
o Medication therapy management- Complete medication reviews and targeted interventions
Review, maintain and screen patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions and therapy duplications while entering/verifying orders
Mange the electronic medical records of various facilities
Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner
Interpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare, calculate and appropriately dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient treatment plans according to our facility standards
Organize daily operational duties and assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians, office staff and delivery drivers
Assist with training, coaching and managing pharmacy staff and assume management responsibilities over the pharmacy when needed
Comply with HIPAA
Fill and verify prescriptions in accordance with State and Federal regulations
Utilize all available technologies in our process to provide pharmaceutical care (i.e. QS1, Docutrack, TCGRx, Inspect RX, Suremed packaging, Delivery track, Omnicell, Nexsys, etc.)
Provide drug information or education programs to healthcare professionals
Communicate to physicians and nurses to ensure prompt clarification of orders that are unclear or incomplete
Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints and questions
Build customer relationships, trust and loyalty
Provide vaccinations to customers, facility residents and staff
Physical Requirements:
