Position Summary
The Testing Operations Coordinator serves as a central figure in managing and streamlining testing activities across the Medicare program. This role is responsible for coordinating release-related tasks, maintaining a detailed inventory of testing deliverables and artifacts, assigning testing resources, and ensuring all testing efforts are completed on time with proper documentation and signoffs.
This position requires close collaboration with business, QA, release delivery, infrastructure, and vendor partners to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in testing operations. The ideal candidate brings an engineering mindset to testing coordination-proactively identifying blockers, optimizing workflows, and applying technical tools to improve quality and speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track testing deliverables, release artifacts, and signoff documentation across multiple teams.
- Assign and manage testing resources to ensure coverage and timely execution.
- Lead daily standups and working sessions focused on blockers, root cause analysis, and testing strategy.
- Provide clear and consistent reporting on testing status, progress, and issues.
- Facilitate resolution of environment-related blockers including server recycles, file loads, and configuration issues.
- Maintain inventory of testing scope, timelines, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with release managers to ensure testing alignment with deployment schedules.
- Support defect triage and resolution across functional and technical teams.
- Ensure environment readiness and coordinate testing logistics across multiple platforms.
- Apply engineering principles to streamline testing workflows and improve test data quality.
- Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement sessions to enhance testing operations and team performance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience coordinating testing or QA activities in a complex enterprise environment.
- 1+ year of experience with release management processes including documentation, scope review, and resource coordination.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to proactively identify and follow through on testing-related tasks.
- Proven experience in defect triage and managing environment health issues.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
- Experience with system, regression, end-to-end, and positive/negative testing approaches.
- General business acumen in Medicare, Medicaid, membership/enrollment, claims, and provider/supplier domains.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to provide daily updates to stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional testing efforts across multiple teams.
- Exposure to environment management and release readiness processes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
- Experience with test data management tools or virtualization platforms (e.g., Delphix).
- Ability to automate aspects of testing coordination using scripting or workflow tools.
- Experience with SharePoint, Splunk (dashboarding, reporting, alerting) and AppDynamics (transaction analysis, alerting
- Experience with engineering-focused testing strategies such as CI/CD integration, test orchestration, or telemetry-based validation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical testing insights into actionable business updates.
- Experience facilitating retrospectives and applying lessons learned to improve future testing cycles.
- Familiarity with RTC (Rational Team Concert) for tracking and managing testing artifacts.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
