Job Summary
The Director of Network Services provides leadership for network engineering, architecture, and implementation of enterprise network solutions. This role oversees network design, infrastructure modernization, engineering teams, and technology strategy while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable network services that support business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enterprise network solutions.
Develop standardized, scalable, and well-documented network architectures.
Collaborate with business units and technology teams to deliver network solutions.
Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on network technologies and infrastructure.
Drive network transformation initiatives and technology modernization.
Manage engineering projects, resources, timelines, and budgets.
Support infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Ensure network solutions align with organizational goals and business requirements.
Foster collaboration across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
Build and maintain high-performing engineering teams.
Support Agile project delivery and continuous process improvement.
Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and platforms.
Perform additional leadership and network engineering responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
11+ years of network engineering or infrastructure experience (13+ years preferred).
Strong expertise in switching, routing, and enterprise networking technologies.
Experience with Cisco, Arista, or similar networking platforms.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Experience leading engineering teams and enterprise technology initiatives.
Strong project management and portfolio management experience.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with network transformation, automation, and operational improvements.
