What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. The starting range for this position is between $25.30/hour - $30.00/hour, based on experience. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include, but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
In this role, you will:
Work primarily on-site at the Bible House (2080 York Street, Denver)
Support programs at recreation centers and parks across Denver
Work a Monday–Friday schedule that adjusts seasonally
Work evenings and weekends as needed to support league operations

The City and County of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is currently seeking an adept and accomplished recreation professional to join this team as a Recreation Coordinator supporting operations for CityWide Sports and DPR’s network of facilities.
As the Recreation Coordinator for CityWide Sports, you will help plan, organize, and deliver successful adult sports leagues throughout Denver. Responsibilities include:
Program Operations
Oversee all aspects of CityWide Sports leagues, including scheduling games and officials and coordinating equipment
Support onsite league operations across recreation centers and parks
Track inventory, purchase supplies, and manage program assets
Maintain records of employee certifications and plan recertification opportunities
Customer & Community Engagement
Promote programs through marketing and outreach
Respond to customer questions via email, phone, and inperson interactions
Manage a highvolume email inbox and route inquiries appropriately
Support registration processes and assist customers as needed
Team Leadership
Direct the daytoday work of oncall and seasonal staff and volunteers
Assist with performance management and staff development
Contact and coordinate with coaching candidates regarding hiring, training, and placement
Program Evaluation & Administration
Monitor and assess program performance, making recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with the Senior Recreation Supervisor and Program Administrator on administrative needs
Perform related duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a highly organized, enthusiastic recreation professional who is passionate about sports, community, and delivering exceptional service. Our ideal candidate has:
A flexible schedule, including availability on nights and weekends
Strong administrative and computer skills
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing multiple recreation programs within a large or complex organization
Skills in community engagement, outreach, and data interpretation/presentation
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of experience working in recreation, education or a closely related field.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
Licensure/Certification Requirement: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Requires certification in CPR/First Aid at the time of application or by the completion of probation.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
Requirements
